Virginia’s Tungs have released an album to be proud of. Varying from screaming noise leads, to melody driven acid rock, to treble heavy pop gems is a difficult manuever to pull off while also delivering any sort of consistency. However, in Sleeping, Tungs have done exactly that.
“Dream Machine” lands right in the center of the album, and is a gorgeous blend or synths, static, locked rhythm, soaring falsetto, and heavy distortion. If this album is the story of a dream, this is the deepest point you can reach, when anything can be real, as long as it can be imagined.
