Cat and I are thinking about going to SXSW, and I have a question.
We are just interested in attending the musical side of things, the random bar shows/auditorium shows. Do we really have to buy one of those badges?
No, I’ve been to SXSW 3 years already i have been just fine without a badge or a wristband. Some shows are badge and wristband only, but those are really only for big bands. If you want to see a show, the later it gets, plan on being at the venue early. Once the venue starts to fill up, they will switch to first wristbands then badge only. Then you have to wait in line.
Ah thank you! I thought you didn’t have to pay for most of them, but I wasn’t sure.
